The black and white works very well here. I also really like the editing decision of when to cut and how to cut. There were some interestingly composed shots that make the video stand out.
The portrayal of time was good. Anxiety can come from a lack of time! And its the worst. Not sure if the black and white was a solid choice because if things were black and white someone might be less anxious do to the lack of color? Just a thought. Good shots and idea overall though!
The music was awesome for anxiety, though some of the scenes shot I got more of the sense of being bored - however my brother watched this with me the other day and knew it was anxiety so I think you did a great job! I think shooting it in black and white was a smart choice as well.
I thought that the video portrayed anxiety very well. The first shot demonstrated it perfectly, hands were a good signifier. I thought the pan shot was slightly jumpy though.
Definitely had great shots that portrayed the emotion or actions associated with that of anxiety. Felt very anxious myself while watching this video, so what else is there to say other than that it was very successful in portraying its chosen emotion.
Really liked all the different camera angels and shots you got, especially the ones with the tapping of the fingers, the pacing back and forth, and finally looking at the clock. I think though that if video had gotten more intense perhaps in just the lighting or contrast as it goes on then it would show anxiety a bit better than just black and white. Because when you feel anxiety you feel the tension.
I really like the music to your video! It tied it together and went well with the emotion. I feel you portrayed the emotion very well, but at times it looked like you were a little bored unless that was your intention.
Your emotion read as boredom and expectation. I liked the jump cut. Also looking at your jewelry it seemed likes you adored it. Liked the speed you chose when when you walked. Also worked well with the music.
I love that your did this in black and white. You did a really good job showing the time pass by with your movements in the chair, the nails bouncing off the tables, you walking around the room, and you looking at your watch. Really good job.
I liked your choice of emotion! You did a good job acting! I also liked your choice of music.. It built up with the emotion well.
ReplyDeleteSome shots were shaky, but I really liked some of the shots you did to show your anxiety.
ReplyDeleteThe music choice helped amp the anxiety feeling in your video.
