I like the idea and it is interesting, but some of the camera shots were shaky and moving way too fast. That makes it very tough for editing. I would have loved to see a shot of someone turning up their car radio and he begins talking
He was a really interesting documentary subject. I want to know more about how he got started doing this and just more about the guy. The B roll was fine, I'm not sure what you could have used to make it a little better. Great job overall.
nice shots! i liked that you showed his collection of albums, it would have been better to hear him talking if the volume was lowered a little bit and at the end, let him keep on talking in the normal volume, and have the music fade out.
There was some audio that was cut off before he finished speaking. I wish we would have seen more footage of him working his show. I liked the shots of the vinyl too.
All of your interview shots were done well with good focus and an interesting background. It seemed like you were afraid to show b-roll while he was talking, that seemed to separate his interview from the b-roll shots. I liked the music at first, but then it started getting too repetitive.
Great variation of shots/ interview angles. I really liked the shot were you panned across the library of albums that they had, made for an extremely creative and visually pleasing shot.
I think you guys had really good B-roll. Some of the pans and tilts were a little shaky and you could hear the movement in the tripod. I think you could have cut that out. It was very interesting to watch.
Nice shots and b roll, Great cut choices, I think some of the audio had some initial pops in it, maybe a crossfade might help. I wish I could have heard him a little better, his gain was a bit low. I think the ending didn't quite do anything justice, the fade out sort of seemed like his interview went on forever. Nice work.
I really like the opening just watching him do his job at the radio it created a nice segway into the whole thing and was cool to see. While the ending felt really abrupt like it fades and cuts while the guy is speaking.
Great storyline angle. I really enjoyed some of the shots of the interviews where he was either to the far right or left of the screen so you could see his surroundings! The music was a little loud at times and made it difficult to hear what he was saying. I also think the first scene where it ended with him saying "you got me in action" should have been edited out or at least the audio cut out. I really enjoyed the storyline angle.
I liked your b role of the studio, but I wasn't sure that when it ended.
ReplyDeleteGreat music to set the tone. His story is really interesting. Why fade out on him talking though?
ReplyDeleteAwesome equipment in the video! Very interesting. I wanted to see him operate it. Also it looked like you had twins giving interview.
ReplyDeleteThe main problem i had was that the audio died off at the end. otherwise, good job!

ReplyDeleteNice balance of sequences. The explanations reflected the actions and vice versa.
